Life-cycle parameters

The lifecycle of a system includes its development, manufacturing, operation and disposal. To determine lifecycle costs, all phases must be taken into account. Actual RAMS aspects (RAMS: Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) come into effect particularly during the development, approval and operational phases. The availability (Availability) and maintainability (Maintainability), which are primarily decisive for the operational phase, represent fundamental factors for the economic efficiency of the system. The necessary course is set for this during the development phase.

In the course of determining and optimizing availability, maintainability, the associated operating costs and ultimately the lifecycle costs of a system, AEMS International GmbH offers the following methods:

  • Functional Hazard Analysis
  • Functional Block Analysis
  • Block-based Reliability Analysis
